Goals

Create actions and community tasks to end police terror.
Facilitate cooperation, unity and coordination between progressive organizations and activists for the purpose of sustainable, principled and militant action.
Get feedback and testimony from affected communities.
Create a network of people to contribute to taking back the public school systems, ending mass incarcerations and ending racist government agendas.

Steps

Summon the LAPD, CHP, District Attorney Jackie Lacey and other abusers of state power to stand trial.
Publicize our event and goals
Gather our own evidence through independent investigations and testimonies.
Organize presenters, speakers and other contributers to the tribunal.

How the Tribunal Works

The LA Tribunal will take place over two days including cultural events, performers and speakers.
The Tribunal will seek to gather testimony and witnesses from victims of police abuse and brutality as well as testimony from surviving family members and community members most affected by police terror.
A panel of the people's judges will hear witnesses and be presented evidence and findings from investigations.
The judges will issue a judgement
If necessary the PEOPLE will serve warrants to guilty parties.
The PEOPLE will create a plan for implementing community control of the police, protecting groups most at risk from police harassment and educational and cultural initiatives.
